Yeovil Town on plans for Huish Park stadium facilities

Yeovil Town authorities have to make sure that these plans will benefit the development of the town and encourage more tourists sports fans to stay at  Yeovil hotels to boost travel and tourism.

YEOVIL Town have made a cautious stance over its future plans for the astroturf facilities at the Huish Park stadium.

Supporters are concerned that a section of the pitch is currently out of use and they are worried that the club could lose out on valuable revenue from organisations hiring it on a regular basis for football.

The club's press officer Adrian Hopper told the recent Achieve by Unity Fans Partnership meeting that a third of the pitch was out of use at present because it had been closed for health and safety reasons.

It was revealed that the club is considering whether or not to plough money at the astroturf - especially as there are three or four artificial pitches included in the plans for the proposed Sports Zone project at Mudford Rec in Yeovil.
